Increasing the air intake into the engine of your vehicle will offer a noticeable increase in horsepower and torque as the air coming in will be less restricted. By removing the air flow restrictions, the engine is able to draw in the needed air quicker than OEM which allows power delivery to be had earlier in the RPM range. This results in improved throttle response and power. By relocating the air filter to a more optimal location the engine is also able to draw in cooler air outside of the engine bay. This cooler air will result in lower engine temps and better reliability.
